Liberty Temple Christian Church began as a Friday night bible study that God birthed into a church. 

One day while at work, the Holy Spirit compelled Pastor Daniel Hughley to read I Corinthians 16:9:

For a great door and effectual is opened unto me and there are many adversaries.

This was the first seed sown to birth Liberty Temple. At God's appointed time, through a vision and a dream, He revealed and compelled Liberty Temple unto Pastor Hughley. He told him to Stand fast in the liberty in which Jesus Christ has made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1. God led Pastor Hughley to the appointed people - four families to start the church.

Liberty Temple held their first official worship service on January 9, 1994 in Pastor and Sister Hughley's basement. In August 1994, we purchased the 3.5 acre property at 6039 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia. The property was renovated and on April 21, 1996 Liberty Temple held its first worship service in Stone Mountain. In August 2001, we purchased the adjacent 1.5 acre property at 6023 Rockbridge Road. In March 2005, we purchased a 3.0 acre property with 16,000 square feet church facility at 6400 Rockbridge Road. On Sunday, April 24, 2005, Liberty Temple held its first worship service at 6400 Rockbridge Road, Stone Mountain, Georgia where we currently worship.

God has blessed and kept us over the years. We are thankful for where He has brought us from and excited about where we are going. We give God the glory for all that He has done.
